I have a secret

ree

As I’m writing a book, it isn’t unusual for me to be thinking three steps ahead to what’s going to happen in the next book.

It’s even harder to keep all the juicy things to come a secret.

But the hardest thing of all is when I’m writing a short romance and I realize all the scenes I have to leave out.

There isn’t always room for more sexy times…

Okay, ya got me... There is. But I love me some plot.

Rae Lee is an introvert. Her trust has been broken, and she’s wary of people. In Fragments of the Past and Mend My Soul, I focused on exploring her friendship with Layla, which meant leaving the Mill Girls out.

Even before an important someone mentioned that in Mend My Soul they missed the usual camaraderie a group of girlfriends brought to my stories, it was already on my personal list of disappointments. No one is a harsher critic of my writing than me.

But I knew that was bound to change because Rae Lee is also friendly with Paisley from Bleeding Heart.

So when I was approached to add a piece to Myth and Moon Collective, it was my opportunity to show you a slice of what’s coming next for Rae Lee and Anson—and for Rae Lee to get a little girl time with your favorite ladies from the main Shattered Hearts of Carolina series.

Myth and Moon Collective is only available until the end of the October.
